Having a facial done from a beauty salon provides us with a sensational feeling. It is a great way to keep your skin flawless. It helps to cleanse the skin, nourish it and helps to rejuvenate it back. This reveals a new fond glow on your face making you look younger. However, regular trips to a salon can be expensive on time while also being time consuming.

Here, in this post, I will share with you a step-by-step procedure by which you can get the exact same facial from salon at home without visiting the salon ever again.

Cleanse

Before we proceed to having a facial, make sure all your hairs are tied up as a ponytail behind the back of your head. First of all, you need to cleanse your skin. Choose any good hydrating cleanser and gently massage a small amount of it to your face. Apply it in a circular motion for about a minute only using your fingertips. After that, wash your face with lukewarm water. This helps to soften the dead skin cells and remove impurities from the surface of your skin to make it clean.

Tone

Toners are extensively used if you have oily skin. These are particularly useful to remove pollutants from the skin surface and provide a natural glow. One of the best natural skin toner available is Rose water. Drop a few drops of it on a cotton pad and gently scrub your face, neck, ears and eyes with it. It helps to tone your skin and control excess oil secretion.

Steam

Boil about 3 cups of water and pour it into a large bowl. Drape a towel immediately to steam your face. Continue doing so for 10 minutes to open the clogged pores on your face. It helps in the removal of impurities and stubborn blackheads.

Exfoliate

A mild exfoliating scrub can be used to remove the blackheads, dirt and dead cells from your face. All you have to do is gently scrub the surface of your face and neck with your finger tips for about 2 minutes. Try to target the oily T-zone areas. Keep in mind not to scrub too harshly or for a longer time as it could remove the essential moisture from your skin surface.

Facial Massage

This is the most important part of your facial. Doing a facial massage for about 15-20 minutes would help to boost the skin collagen to give you a healthy glow. Take any Vitamin E enriched massage cream to nourish and hydrate your skin. Start from your neck and gently move up to your face by gently massaging in slow, upward strokes.  You can also wet your fingers in cold milk or rose water to make your skin even more soft and glowing. After the massage, remove the cream from your face using a wet cotton pad.

Face Mask/Peel

Based on your skin type, choose the facial mask/peel. Mud mask or lemon face peel can be used on full and oily skins while fruit face peel is suitable for dry skins. Use a flat brush to apply a thick mask on the upward direction. Also, apply 2 thin slices of cold cucumber on your eyes. Leave the mask to completely dry and later on remove it using a wet towel.

Ice Cube Massage

Don’t forget to use ice facials at the very end. Take a muslin cloth and place 2-3 ice cubes inside it. Rub the cloth for 2 minutes on your face. This helps to freshen your skin and improve blood circulation.

Moisturizing Serum

The last bit of facial involves you to apply a moisturizing serum. It is helpful for brightening your skin. Massage it on your skin surface in a circular motion of your fingertips. It helps to penetrates into different layers of your skin and help to improve skin resilience and restore moisture.

The Last Words

Now, with the help of these tips, you won’t have to visit the salons regularly to get a glowing skin. You can easily follow this procedure once a month by making your own salon at home to get good radiant, glowing skin.
